Sound Heritage Study Day Three

Blessed with sunshine and deer roaming the fields, the final Sound Heritage study day of 2016 took place on 11 November at Tatton Park in Cheshire.

The event was preceded by a workshop at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) and a performance at Heaton Hall by Feelgood Theatre Productions.  The day itself comprised presentations on the collection at Aiken-Rhett House in Charleston and the way in which music can be used to develop narrative interpretations in historic properties.  This was followed by a tour of the house, a concert of music from the Tatton Park collection by students from the RNCM, and a discussion on how to develop Sound Heritage into the future.
